Kavarna is a Black Sea coastal town in the Dobruja region of northeastern Bulgaria. It lies 64 km northeast of Varna and 49 km from Dobrich. A little yacht port, a fishing base, a spacious beach and a resort complex exist in the town. The landmark Cape Kaliakra is located a few kilometers to the east, as is the tony beachfront resort of Rusalka. An 18-hole golf course with a gated community and marina is being developed nearby.
The lay of the land is flat and the seacoast of Kavarna is 42 km long. Along it there are small beaches, including an artificial one. Gore Chirakman with its almost sheer slopes towers above the seacoast. Remains of stronghold walls, moats, buildings, churches and necropolises can be found on the flat plateau. The region is rich in mineral waters.
The area around Kavarna offers opportunities for developing ecotourism and specialized tourism — examination and photography of plants, dolphins and various kinds of fish in the coastal waters. The variety of birds attracts tourists from all parts of the world and contributes to Kaliakra and Yaylata becoming one of the most preferred places in Bulgaria for the development of ornithological tourism.
Some of the landmarks are The Dobruja and the Sea Display - maritime museum; The Town Museum; Ethnographic Museum; churches and old fountains. Since 2004 the town has turned in one of the centres of musical life in Bulgaria. Kavarna has been the host to several rock and roll concerts.
In a tranquil village only 7 km from Kavarna, an exceptionally beautiful and renovated house is offered for sale. It covers a floorage of 100 sq. m and consists of an entrance – hallway, a living room, 2 bedrooms and a storage room. The floor and the joinery are wooden. The garden is enormous – covers a surface of 3640 sq. m – and allows placing a swimming pool, garage or else by your taste. All communications are available.
Looking further afield, here are some of the things you can find in the wider vicinity: 2 stocked lakes, 2 golf courses under development, a mussel farm, plenty of restaurants, markets and other modern amenities in the nearby town of Kavarna. The town of Balchik is located 15 km to the southeast. The town sprawls scenically along hilly terraces descending from the Dobruja plateau to the sea. During Romania's administration, the Balchik Palace was the favorite summer residence of Queen Marie of Romania and her immediate family. The town is the site of Marie's Oriental villa, the place where her heart was kept, in accordance with her last wishes. Today, the town is one of Bulgaria’s top 100 national tourist spots, famous for its Palace and the adjacent Botanical Garden, which holds the world’s second largest cactus collection (after Monaco).
A fantastic area for investments!
