The property is located only 22 km away from the historic town of Lovech, on the borderline between the first hills of the Balkan Mountain and the Danube plain. It is easy to be reached for about an hour drive from the capital of Sofia, mostly on the North motorway of the country. The village is located in an agricultural region where people still live in a traditional rural way and produce mainly for their own use. South of the village, gentle hills mark the beginning of the more mountainous area which leads further south to the Troyan Balkan Area, one of the nicest and best preserved national parks in the country. Nearby st a small river goes through the gentle hills down to Osam River, popular among local fishermen. For the ones who are even more devoted fans there are three reservoirs in close proximity. Agriculture, fishing and hunting are the main activities in this non-industrial region. Nowadays, Lovech is known for its fine quality rakia (the local grape brandy) and red wine. This village is also conveniently located several minutes drive from Lovech which itself is an attractive destination with the old quarter, the fortress ruins and the unique wooden bridge. In this town, as well as in Pleven further north, one can find excellent shops, banks and all modern necessities. The tourist attractions in the region include the Devetaki Cave (where archeologists found one of the first human settlements in Europe), the Kakrina Inn (closely related to the history of the Bulgarian independence) and the Staro Stefanovo architectural reserve. Further south, the Troyan Balkan area which is famous for its preserved nature, historical sights and the famous Troyan pottery. Westwards, there is a special villa to enjoy hunting at the local natural preservation.
The house consists of a ground floor with two rooms, a cellar with a shed and a second floor which can be accessed by a nice winding staircase finishing on an aristocratic porch, two large well-lit double bedrooms, one smaller room with a hanging closet. There is a fenced garden of 1000 square metres, a summer kitchen with a bathroom, a two-storey agricultural building, two wells, marvelous fruit-trees and trellis vines which will make you rest perfect under the shades. The house needs just some slight refreshment to become the perfect holiday home in a hospitable and scenic Bulgaria but with the help of our professional team of builders, it could become quite comfortable place for living.
