The land plot covers up to 840 sq. m and holds a shed, suitable for BBQ, and garage for 1 car. The WC is set in an outbuilding. The property is supplied with running water, electricity and septic tank. In addition, it is easily accessible year round. The area hosts three magnificent dam lakes in close proximity.
The region has well-developed industry and agriculture. White and rose wines were produced here as well as the wormwood wine of Osmar. The village of Konyovets locates the oldest stud farm in Bulgaria.
The cultural history of the region dates back to the Neolithic Age. Prehistoric communal cultures, mound necropolises, a great number of Thracian mounds and fortified settlements and Roman fortresses have been found in Shumen Region. Many archeological landmarks related to the history of the First Bulgarian Kingdom have remained. The monumental remnants of the first capital cities of Bulgaria – Pliska and Veliki Preslav – have been discovered there. The literary schools of Pliska and Preslav were founded in the 9th century establishing Bulgaria as a center of the Slavic culture and the reign of Tsar Simeon is dubbed the “Golden Century of Bulgarian Culture”. The cult site near the village of Madara has been worshipped by the Thracians and then by the Bulgars. The unique bas-relief of the Madara horseman (Madarski konnik), included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is located in this region. Shumen boasts the Monument to 1300 Years of Bulgaria, regarded as the only monument in the world to depict the history of a whole country from its creation to the present day.
As you can see, the area is amazingly rich in cultural sites and loaded with historical importance for the Bulgarian nation. This hilly, rural place will make you feel the romantic atmosphere, with its authentic cobbled streets, fresh air and nice views - a lovely place for those who love the nature.
